The Essex Wildlife Trust

The Essex Wildlife Trust has 7 Visitor Centres, 87 Nature Reserves, 1 Nature Park and manage 7,200 acres of land. They welcome over 200,000 visitors at the visitor centres each year.

They run nearly 100 wildlife courses and activity days for adults and children each year. With more than 2,000 volunteers and spending 1.5 million per year caring for Essex wildlife, we believe supporting the Essex Wildlife Trust is a responsible thing for JWW Solutions to do.

The Environment

JWW Solutions being a member of the Essex Wildlife Trust means that we are adding value to the region that we operate from and it is beneficial to our team members and their families.

It also is part of our Environmental and Corporate Responsibility Policies to put back in our local community and look after the world in which we live and work.

Our offices in Basildon were setup with the mantra, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. All packaging is recycled where appropriate with even our shredded paper is reused for packaging. Any out of date letter heads following our relocation were reused by donating them to local nursery’s for scribbling, painting and sticking!

By being a responsible business in which takes the environment seriously we can help save energy, save raw materials, protect the environment by reducing the need for extracting (mining, quarrying and logging), refining and processing raw materials all of which create substantial air and water pollution.

As recycling saves energy it also reduces greenhouse gas emissions, which helps to tackle climate change. Current UK recycling is estimated to save more than 18 million tonnes of C02 a year – the equivalent to taking 5 million cars off the road.

Plus recycling reduces landfill as no one likes to look or smell of a big rubbish bin.
